I was delighted with the service I received from Stuart. He more than exceeded my expectations.
I went to Stuart to be fitter and lighter for a weekend of horse riding in Wales and to improve my aerobic capacity and strength to enable me to take my running programme to the next level (I had been running 2 miles in 30 minutes for a couple of years).
I expected him to write me up a basic gym routine, but as well as a highly tailored routine, he gave me a thorough physical and postural assessment to identify potential weak (and strong) areas and was then able to quickly suggest some excellent stretches and techniques to strengthen these areas and to remove specific pains in my shoulders and hip flexors which suffered from usual office worker syndromes.
I had been worried for some time that I might have arthritis in my hips as I was suffering from pain at night and when running but Stuart's stretches alleviated these pains and shown me it was just tight hip flexors - you have no idea what a relief that was and I now have no pain in my hips whatsoever. Amazing!
My running improved and the interval training work even made walking up and down hills in Norwich (yes there are some) much easier. I lost 8lbs in a week following Jason Vale's juicing diet, supported by Stuart's training plans.
Stuart has a lovely positive manner - quietly determined and professional but I really valued that he put safety foremost and would continually ask for feedback to ensure that the exercises weren't causing pain of the wrong sort. This was extremely reassuring and I always felt I was in safe hands.
He also is serious about his professional development and reads extensively to keep up with the very latest thinking on fitness and nutrition. His sessions were always varied and interesting.
I couldn't recommend Stuart highly enough whether you are a serious fitness professional or a professional fitness dabbler like myself!
